STEP National Contact Points
The STEP National Contact Points are officials designated in each EU Member States to for oversee and support the implementation of STEP in the 27 Member States . Their role:
- Mobilise funding for STEP priorities and sectors, including in RRF and cohesion policy funds.
- Promote investments and funding opportunities at national and regional level and ensure industrial and research ecosystems are informed of upcoming funding opportunities.
- Link local, regional and national authorities with the central, governmental steer and the projects promoters/ final recipients, and playing a central role in the consultation/ identification process.
- Advise projects active in critical technologies and sectors about sources of finance relevant to their needs at national and European level (e.g. loans, guarantees, equity).
- Connect companies with networks at the European, national or regional levels, such as business angel networks, start-up communities, etc.
