O-MAI seeks to building an advanced platform for predictive, simulative and personalised medicine by combining explainable AI, quantitative medical imaging, omics sciences and extended reality.

Conventional diagnostic approaches can struggle to integrate radiological, histological and molecular information in a way that supports fast, accurate and patient-specific decisions. To avoid bottlenecks in diagnosis, treatment selection and clinical workflows, O-MAI is developing a multimodal technology platform for predictive and personalised medicine. This will strengthen Europe’s biotechnology and health innovation capacity by supporting more precise diagnosis, tailored therapies and smarter clinical decision-making.

Its use of high-resolution, high-contrast imaging technologies can improve pathology characterisation while reducing electronic noise and imaging artefacts, supporting high diagnostic quality. Located in Lombardy region in Italy, O-MAI goes beyond direct clinical benefits: it fosters cross-fertilisation between hospital-based research, diagnostics providers and innovative SMEs, reinforcing Europe’s ecosystem in health and life sciences.
