The STEP funding dashboard below is an interactive guide, offering a continuously updated state-of-play of funding opportunities supported by the EU budget and dedicated to projects related to strategic technologies contributing to STEP objectives. With this dashboard you can explore calls for proposals by technological area, timeframe, funding arrangements and more.

To apply for an open call for proposals you will need to follow the instructions that are provided in the call documents and on the relevant website. Note that your project will compete for funding with those submitted by other applicants for that call. STEP does not create new eligibility rules. To be funded under a given STEP call, projects need to comply with the specific rules of the relevant funding programme, as defined in the work programmes and relevant calls for proposals, including eligibility, selection, and award criteria. 

Firstly, determine whether the call is covering the whole EU or a specific Member State/Region.

Secondly, once you have identified an interesting call for your project, carefully review the documents of the call for proposal to understand its scope and any specific requirements that may apply.

• To apply for national/regional calls, follow the instructions on the relevant national/regional website or click the link for the call for proposals.
• For the “EU” calls, click on the green ‘Apply’ button to access the submission system, and follow the specific guidelines on the Funding & Tenders Portal – each call is unique and subject to a dedicated selection process. You will need to log in with your EU Login account; if you do not have one, simply register. For more information, consult the online manual for the Funding & Tenders portal.
