Part of the Menarini Group, Lusochimica aims to create a greener, more efficient synthesis of nebivolol, a widely used cardiovascular drug. The project will immobilise two alcohol dehydrogenase enzymes on solid support and integrate them into flow chemistry, optimising conditions at the laboratory and pilot scale. By establishing a European-based, competitive production, this initiative enhances sustainability, scalability, and pharmaceutical sovereignty.
