With €3 million in EU funding, PUMA will design, develop, and test a radiation-hardened integrated circuit using 7nm FinFET technology, reducing Europe's reliance on non-EU suppliers for space-grade microelectronics. The project will validate its TRL (Technology Readiness Level) 5 prototype in a relevant environment, proving its high reliability and resistance to radiation, forming the foundation for future European N7 integrated circuits and strengthening Europe’s space and AI-driven mission capabilities.
