OpenEuroLLM – A European Family of Large Language Models

OpenEuroLLM will develop a family of Large Language Model (LLMs) covering all EU official languages, ensuring transparency, compliance with the AI Act, and uptake among European businesses, startups, and innovators

OpenEuroLLM is a pan-European initiative that unites leading AI startups and research organisations to create an open, multilingual Large Language Model.  The project leverages EuroHPC, Europe's high-performance computing infrastructure, to train AI models in alignment with European values and regulations. With openly published data, models, and training resources, OpenEuroLLM will empower SMEs and other innovators to adopt and deploy AI solutions cost-effectively. A vibrant community of developers will drive innovation and commercialisation of AI across Europe.
